USA Rugby 7’s
USA Rugby 7’s is an organization formed by USA Rugby that competes in international tournaments around the world. The main competition is the HSBC World Rugby SVNS Series which is organized of 8 tournaments that are played around the world from December to June. During these tournaments, points are accumulated to help rank the world’s best teams.
Men’s Sevens
The USA Men’s 7’s program is a core team on the HSBC World Sevens Series. They also have a chance to compete in major tournaments such as Rugby World Cup Sevens, Summer Olympics, and Pan American Games. They have been led by Head Coach, Mike Friday, since the 2014. Every year since, they have been ranked in the Top 7 with their best finish being 2nd place in the 2018-2019 season.
Women’s Sevens
The USA Women’s 7’s program is a core team on the HSBC World SVNS Series. They also have a chance to compete in major tournaments such as Rugby World Cup Sevens, Summer Olympics, and Pan American Games. They are lead by Head Coach, Emilie Bydwell and are currently ranked 2nd in the World.
